Keep training to improve employability

Pelican Marine Services organised a training to acquire the “A-VI/2-2 Fast Rescue Crafts” qualification for 6 seafarers and so, to be in compliance with vessel requirements.
The training took place in Tunis, at the Mediterranean Institute of Maritime Training from the 19th to 22nd of May.

This qualification is a STCW 2010 requirement for some officers sailing onboard vessels equipped with fast rescue boat.
This training action reinforces their skills portfolio and develops their employability. With this new certificate, our seafarers will be able to fulfil the responsibilities of manoeuvring fast rescue boats.

Generally, Fast Rescue Craft trainings last between 4 to 5 days. Trainees must hold, prior to the training, the qualification “A-VI/2-1Survival Crafts and Rescue” and a valid medical fitness certificate.
